MESSAGES FROM OUR COMMUNITY

Small words, lasting meaning

Across our Towards SG70 events and community engagements, participants have been invited to write short reflections and messages on our SG70 pledge cards - expressing gratitude, memories, hopes, personal reflections for themselves.

These messages are small in size, but big in heart. Together, they form a shared tapestry of voices from people of different ages, backgrounds, and walks of life - reminding us of what we value, who we cherish, and the legacies we hope to carry forward.

Messages from Our Events

Here, we feature selected reflections and messages penned during our events throughout the year.

These may include:

  • Notes of appreciation to family, teachers, mentors and loved ones
  • Reflections on growing up, belonging, and community
  • Hopes for the next generation and Singapore's future
  • Personal reminders about gratitude, resilience, and purpose

Share Your Own Message

If you would like to add your voice to this growing collection, you may submit a short reflection or message below.

You may wish to write about:

  • someone you are grateful for
  • a memory or lesson that shaped you
  • your hopes for the future
  • what "legacy" means to you

Submitted messages may be featured on this page or at future SG70 community showcases.

Note: This section is separate from the SG70 Letter Kits - sealed letters are kept private and preserved for 10 years, and are not displayed publicly.

Why These Stories Matter

Every message - no matter how simple - represents:

  • a moment of reflection
  • a connection to someone or something meaningful
  • a reminder of the values that shape who we are

Together, these reflections form part of Singapore's living emotional heritage - voices of today, preserved and shared in community.
