Our Movement

"A Letter From This Moment. A Legacy That Lives Forever."

Towards SG70 is a national letter-writing movement that celebrates Singapore's 70th year by preserving the emotional stories, memories, and hopes of our people. Through intergenerational letters, we invite Singaporeans - young and old - to reflect on where we have come from, who we are today, and the legacies we wish to pass on to future generations.

This initiative is more than a campaign, it is a shared space for gratitude, remembrance, and connection - one letter at a time.

Why Letters?

In a fast-paced digital world, handwritten letters slow us down and bring us back to what matters - people, relationships, and lived experiences. Letters capture voices, emotions, and personal history in a way that statistics and milestones cannot.

Through these letters, we hope to:

• Strengthen intergenerational bonds
• Honour the contributions of pioneers and caregivers
• Give youths a platform to express appreciation and reflection
• Preserve everyday stories that make up Singapore's emotional heritage
